8th October - Children's Parliament - Improving a Nature Trail

Year 6 are designing improvements for the nature trail at the back of our school as part of a competition organised by the Urban Studies Team. Today we explored the area around Fulham Palace and also collected a variety of plants, seeds and nuts to help us decide what features to put in our designs. The best design will then be presented to the team.....Who knows, we may even win!!!

1st October - Science Museum Trip

We had a fantastic time at the Science Museum. We watched a show all about our 'BLOOD' and what it does in our body. Some of us even got to take part in experiments!

Afterwards, we visited the new Launch Pad which was really good fun!

Welcome to Year 6!

This is the last year at All Saints for our Year 6 and we have a great year ahead of us.
I am extremely pleased to take this wonderful class and be part of this journey.

YEAR 5'S TRIP TO PIZZA EXPRESS!

On Tuesday the 6th of May, Year 5 went to Pizza Express and had a great time!
First we washed our hands and put our aprons and chef hats on. Then we sprinkled some flour on our pizzas. After we started our first step of making pizzas.We made our dough flat into a pizza shape.
Next we tossed our pizza from hand to hand to get the flour out. After that we placed our pizza into a baking tray. Soon after, we took our three middle fingers and pushed against the side of the pizza to make a crust. Next we put a blob of tomato puree on the pizza. We spread the tomato puree on the pizza. We did that by swirling the pizza to spread the puree out. After that we took some cubes of mozzarella and scattered them all over the pizza.Soon after our chef Marlem put our pizzas in the oven. About five minutes later our pizzas were ready. Next we walked back to school. We were all ready to eat our pizzas and holey moley were they tasty! Year 5 would like to thank the school and Mrs Martin for taking us on this trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Good Global Citizen

On the 7th of Feburary Key stage 2 presented an amazing global awareness assembly, showing what we could do to help the world. We had 1 week to work on our project explaining a fraction of what we can do to the world. Year 5 made some detailed Islands showing what the world would look like if we didn't build millions of offices and houses, burning all our trees and killing rare amimals. No one had been on the Island before . To help this year 5 have made some helpful rules for lent that will hopefully be brought into other classes aswell.

. When we use paper, instead of throwing it into the bin reuse it then recycle

. Don't turn the lights on when you don't need them

. Turn the interactive whiteboard off at 3:15 sharp.

If you want to you could follow this advice and do your little bit to save the world.

Other classes also did beautiful projects that we loved and also thought could change the enviorment.
