On Wednesday the 19th of December, yr 5 went on a long journey to The Ragged School Museum. We went to a poor Victorian kitchen, with a man who was very funny. We were lucky enough to get dressed up as a poor Victorian so when we did activities it looked really effective!!
It was then that we got told we were going to the classroom and we were to be on our best behaviour as we went back in time 120 years. It was very exciting until we got down stairs and we were petrified. We did lots of maths, English, practising for an Inspector and writing on slates. We were so relived when we went forward in time again and asked questions while she showed some punishments.

We all had great fun and think our teacher is not so strict now we have seen a Victorian school teacher in lessons.

I really enjoyed this trip. It was so hard not to smile and to keep a straight face, in the Victorian class room. What was your favourite part? Mrs Douglas

I loved going on this trip. I hope we can do something like this again. The teacher was very scary and made me shiver, but it was fun.
